Goals & Rewards

I sat down and tried to think up some rewards for myself - non food related!!! - for when I reach certain milestones....
But do you think I can some up with anything???
I have said that I will reward myself with Sunbed sessions once I get to 99kg.
That's the first one...
But should I have something before that?
Something little for say.... 108kg, which is my lowest ever weight?
Maybe a pedicure?
So many people tell me that they are fabulous.....
Yeah - that'll be my reward for getting back to my lowest ever adult weight... a pedicure!!
OK, so there are two for now..... I'll think up some more as I go along I reckon!

Typical huh??  The weather in Wellington today is just plain gorgeous, and I am stuck inside at work....
Oh to have a job where I could take time off over this period....
Most of my mates are on holiday..... I bet they are all enjoying the sun right now!!!

Comments:
I think rewards mentioned are great but as an incentive to keep the weight off and continue to lose, make the pedicure for 108kg part of your regular routine as a reminder of how good you feel about yourself and how you deserve to be pampered. My only other suggestion is you need rewards at regular 5kg intervals, small goals need to be recognised!

i agree, do pedicures regularly, you deserve regular treats! and the 108kg goal as a start of the regular pedicure (does that make sense?) i lurrrrve my pedicures, just lovely! gota have pretty pink toes for those summer sandals dont ya know!!

Hey Jo... so sorry I haven't got back to you. Will write a proper reply in next few days. Soooo happy to see that you seem to be back on track, I told you we'd get to the 90's this year!! :)

So sorry about Sharna :( I had my cat, Sam for 14 years and had to do the same a while ago. Heart breaking.

We had our cat Misty for 18 years!! The poor old guy went a bit senile also. It was a very sad day when we had to get him put down. It's good that you are taking comfort in knowing that you have done the right thing.

If you are going to get a pedicure make sure it's a spa one. There is nothing like those hot towel wraps!!! You will feel like you are walking on air after having one!

Hi Jo
I haven't been albe to access your blog for a few days strange but seems ok now.

Sorry to read about your puss. HUGS

Your goals and challenges for 2007 sound awesome...promised myself a pedicure this year...just decided I'll get one when I reach my 120 goal 6k to go. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hope your weekend weather is great so u can make the most of it and do something fun not lousy gardening like I have been doing.

Have a good one.

Hi Jo,

I'm so sorry to hear that you had to put your dear old pussy cat down.

The flat will more than likely feel a bit weird for a while ha?

I wouldn't stress about the hot weather and some of us being in it as I got burnt and didn't know it because there was a cool breeze and today I sat outside and it was so windy that I got wind burn....typical ay?

I'm back at work on Monday so we will have to meet up for a coffee.

Sorry to hear about your cat - it does sound as if you did the right thing even though it would have been so hard.

Great idea with the rewards - I'm sure you will come up with some more:)

Hey Jo
Have just finished reading "Confessions of a reformed dieter". It's by a chick called AJ Rochester who is an australian comedian. She was abour 150kg and is now 67. The book is about her journey and having read your blog for years I'm sure you'd get a bloody good laugh as I did. Also very inspirational and from what I can remember also has a few reward ideas. If you email me you r address I can send it to you for a read. Have just recently read she has been hosting biggest loser in Oz - love that programme!!
New Year so new beginings and time to get to goal. I know you can do it.
TONI :)
