Busy times...

It's a crazy crazy time of year......... seems like the days go by so much faster and I'm left standing still with my head spinning sometimes!
The weekend whizzed by in a blur of alcohol, food, family & friends and it was fan-flippen-tastic!!
Friday night was a quiet night as planned, and it was good to be able to have some down time after a hectic week of work and socialising.
Saturday was busy with housework and catching up with friends before heading out to a dinner and dance with Jeremy.
The night was great, and once the function had ended a group of us went in to town and partied on at Boogie Wonderland - a great "70's" bar that plays fantastic old school music.
After that we headed out to another bar and finished the night up at about 4am!!!!
Sunday morning was a bit of a struggle, but I managed to get up and on the road pretty much on time, and got up to mum's in time for a beautiful lunchtime celebration.
It was their 40th wedding anniversary and the day was just perfect!
It started with lunch for the family, then it was followed by an "open house" type scenario which enabled all of mum and dad's friends to come around and join in the celebrations with them.
At one stage the house (and new deck) was chokka block with people who had come to say congratulations and it was bloody brilliant to see and feel the love!!!
The afternoon turned in to the evening, and I think by the time everyone left and we finally got to bed it must have been about 11pm!
FANTASTIC!!!
Rhian had an absolute blast running around with her cousins and all the other little kids that were there - it was fun to see her enjoying herself so much - even if mum did have to dump her and another little girl into the bath cos they had dirt from top to toe! hahaha.... cute!!!
Monday morning I headed home late afternoon and spent the rest of the day just relaxing at home with my girl and it was the perfect way to end my long weekend.

Work has been really busy -- which I LOVE, but it means that I don't have much time to update or read blogs anymore..... but of course it is a busy time of year, and I'd rather be busy than wondering what to do, so I wont jinx it! hehe

My eating was OK over the weekend, although on Sunday I did have TWO desserts!!
A GORGEOUS pavlova roll at lunch time, and a DIVINE cheesecake in the evening.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
I'm sure I've managed to do the appropriate damage control though, and I'm looking forward to weigh in again this week.
It feels great to be in control, and be AWARE of what I am eating - YAY ME!!!

It is our work Xmas party on Friday - it is always a really good day, although this year it is going to be totally different as we will be missing about 100 of the factory staff due to the restructuring and redundancies earlier this year.
It is always a big secret and no one ever knows where we are actually going until we get there.
It is always a heap of fun, and some of the themes in the past have been a scream, so I cant wait to see what it is this year.
They pack us all on to a bus and ferry us off to the secret location for the day - then bring us back by bus afterwards - FANTASTIC!!!!!
CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

Righto - I have a pile of work to do, so best I get off and do it.........
